Depending on the features you use, Upalert may process:

  • Account and contact information, such as identifiers used to provide your service and deliver alerts.
  • Alert preferences, including keywords, budgets, experience levels, and other job-filter settings.
  • Job information needed to identify, filter, and format relevant opportunities.
  • Technical information, such as browser type, extension version, diagnostic events, approximate location derived from IP address, and security logs.
  • Website usage information, including pages visited and interactions, when analytics are enabled.

We do not ask for information that is unnecessary to operate the selected features.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and improve Upalert, match job posts against your preferences, deliver alerts, maintain security, troubleshoot errors, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

3. When information is shared

We may share limited information with infrastructure, analytics, communications, and customer-support providers that help operate the service. These providers may process information only for the services they perform for us. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction.

Upalert does not sell personal information. Third-party platforms used alongside Upalert operate under their own privacy policies.

4. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the service, satisfy legitimate operational needs, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose.

5. Your choices and rights

You may update alert preferences, disable or uninstall the extension, and stop receiving alerts. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information.

6. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.

7. Children and policy updates

Upalert is not intended for children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required locally. We may update this policy as the service or applicable law changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
